In Memoriam: Dr Alexander Aslani

News ESAPS

The European Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ESAPS) expresses its profound sadness at the tragic death of Dr Alexander Aslani, a distinguished plastic surgeon and respected member of the international aesthetic surgery community.

Dr Aslani leaves behind an exceptional professional legacy. With more than three decades of experience and thousands of surgical procedures performed, he established himself as an internationally recognised expert in body-contouring surgery. He contributed significantly to the advancement of aesthetic plastic surgery and helped shape the field at an international level.

Equally important was his commitment to patient safety. Dr Aslani actively contributed to the international discussion surrounding safety in gluteal fat grafting and the responsible development of aesthetic surgical techniques. His commitment reflected an essential principle of our specialty: that innovation and aesthetic excellence must always be accompanied by the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Beyond his considerable surgical expertise, those who knew Dr Aslani will remember him for his generosity, warmth, sense of humor, integrity and impeccable personal character. He was a colleague who combined outstanding expertise with genuine human qualities, earning the respect and affection of patients and fellow surgeons alike.

His sudden and tragic passing represents a profound loss not only for his family, friends and colleagues, but also for the wider international plastic surgery community.

ESAPS strongly condemns all forms of violence against healthcare professionals and extends its deepest condolences to Dr Aslani’s family, loved ones, colleagues, patients and the entire Cirumed team.

At this moment of profound sorrow, we honour Dr Alexander Aslani not only for what he achieved as a surgeon, but for the values he represented as a plastic surgeon and as a human being.

May his memory remain an enduring part of the history of aesthetic plastic surgery.
